Manchester City winger Jack Grealish is concentrating on one game at a time as his side enters the decisive phase of the season.
Pep Guardiola’s men will face Everton on Sunday in the Premier League, followed by the UEFA Champions League (UCL) second-leg clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
“From the position that we are in now, we are playing every three to four days,” he said. “I know it is an easy thing to say, but for us, all we are doing is just concentrating on the next game, recovering well and then just straight onto the next game.
“I don’t think you can think too far ahead. We can’t even think about the Real Madrid game at the moment because we have such a big game on Sunday against Everton.
“I think we have just got to take each game as it comes and fingers crossed we can have a successful season and keep playing the way we have been.”
Grealish has notched up five goals and 11 assists in all competitions this season and is keen on putting up a good show during the remaining matches as well.
“As an attacking player that is what you want to do, you want to get goals and assists,” he said.
“I still feel like I could get more, but that is obviously something that you want as an attacking player, to be contributing to the team.
“I feel like since the World Cup especially, I have been playing so much better. It has been nice to get into a rhythm because I have been playing all of the time, playing in these big games.
“I am really enjoying it at the moment. I feel fit, I feel confident, so hopefully I can keep that up until the end of the season and chip in with a few more goals and assists to try and win us some trophies.”
Manchester City are currently at the top of the Premier League with 82 points in 34 matches. They are one point ahead of Arsenal in second place but also have a game in hand.
